Daryl Colvin exploring GPS School Board candidacy

Mr. Daryl Colvin, a resident of Gilbert has launched an exploratory effort to run for Gilbert Public Schools – Governing Board.  Mr. Colvin’s past involvement in all things political earn him a reputation for conservative ideals, fiscal responsibility, and no-nonsense management.  Four (4) slots are open this election due to the recent resignation of board member Shane Stapley who moved out of the district in March of this year which opens up a 2-year term position along with 3 other 4-year terms.  Incumbents EJ Anderson and Lily Tram are running for re-election while Helen Hollands finishes her term and will not be running again.

Mr. Colvin’s potential candidacy has already sparked interest among conservatives praising the recent development and encouraging Mr. Colvin to finalize plans to run.  Nearly 500 petition signatures will be needed between now and early August in order to qualify for the ballot.  We look forward to hearing more from Mr. Colvin over the next week or two as his exploratory efforts continue.  Among Mr. Colvin’s tenants for full transparency and disclosure in financial matters is a confirmation that our children of today will be our leaders of tomorrow, and as such, we must be committed to providing the proper education that ensures the success of each individual, family, community, and those American traditions upon which our success as a nation has endured.
